This qualification is for those who wish to understand, implement and put into practice assessment skills. The award is essential for those wishing to assessing candidates under the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) there are 3 qualifications within this framework.

Programme structure
Within the Assessor awards there are THREE qualifications
301: Understand the principles and practices of assessment.
302: Assess vocational skill, knowledge and understanding.
303: Assess occupational competence in the work environment.

You will be required to attend a one-day workshop to support you in understanding the assessment process and supporting candidates on NVQ (QCF) award. Assessors are evaluated through a series of practical assessments and a portfolio of work. For your portfolio you will need to gather evidence, such as written statements, evidence of assessment practice undertaken with your candidates and participation in professional discussions.
